Your coach on a schedule

Recordo Automations let your coach show up with a plan or a first step at the time you choose, even when the app is closed. The recurring "remember to ask" part is handled for you.

That matters because "plan my day" can have a surprisingly long life on a to-do list. You meant to do it before the day began. Then the day began anyway.

By lunchtime, yesterday's unfinished tasks are mixed with today's. The calendar has its own ideas. Planning would help, but now you need a plan for when to plan.

The same thing happens with a Friday look back or a quick glance at tomorrow while there is still time to prepare. These are easy routines to value, and surprisingly easy to miss.

Start the day with something to work from

Two enabled automations, ready for their first scheduled runs.

You open your list and meet three versions of the day at once: what you planned, what you did not finish yesterday, and what the calendar says is possible. Before doing a task, you have to decide which version to believe.

Plan my day can make that first pass for you. On weekday mornings, it can review today's tasks and available calendar context, then suggest a realistic plan with breaks and one easy starting step. It does not move your tasks or book time on your calendar.

That makes the result a starting point, not a set of orders. If the morning changes, you can change the plan. You have still skipped the part where you had to remember to ask for one.

Stop losing unfinished tasks to yesterday

An unfinished task does not vanish at midnight. It just sits on an older date, waiting for you to remember to go looking for it. That can make today's list look calmer than it really is.

If you want those loose ends in front of you, Move unfinished tasks can bring older, untimed one-off tasks into today each morning. It leaves tasks with a specific time and recurring tasks alone. You can see what moved in the result.

This one changes your list, so it is worth deciding whether that is what you want. A crowded today is not automatically an improvement. If bringing those tasks forward makes the list noisy, pause the automation and choose a narrower instruction.

A plan can still leave you staring at the list

Sometimes you know what belongs to today. The sticking point is choosing what to touch first. More planning at that moment can feel like another task.

Help me get started takes a smaller job: it looks for one manageable open task and suggests a concrete first step. It does not reschedule or complete anything. You might not need a perfect order for the whole day. You might need an entry point into one thing.

There are other moments worth giving a standing invitation to your coach. A Friday recap can show what you actually finished, especially when the week felt scattered. A look at tomorrow can surface a task that needs preparation tonight. Neither requires you to build an elaborate routine around it.

How to set this up in Recordo

Open Profile > Automations and choose one of the suggested routines, or tap Add to create your own. Pick the days and time, then say plainly what you want your coach to do. Start with the repeated moment you most often miss, not with a schedule for every hour.

Every run has a result you can read in the automation's history or in Chat. You can reply, change the instruction, pause it, or run it now without changing the regular schedule. Turn on Notify if you want a push when there is something useful to report.

Free includes one active automation. That is enough to find out whether one recurring check-in genuinely makes your day easier. Pro lets you keep more active if you find other moments worth scheduling.

Keep the choice, lose the repeated prompt

A scheduled plan will not always fit the day that follows. Its suggestion can be wrong. A moved task can still be one you decide not to do today. You stay in charge of those choices.

What it can take off your plate is the small, recurring job of starting the conversation. Choose one moment that matters, let your coach show up for it, and adjust the routine if the result is not useful. The best schedule is the one that saves you from another thing to remember, not one that gives you another thing to maintain.
